The most typical means of creating a 3D model is to take a simple object, called a primitive, and extend or “grow” it into a shape that can be refined and detailed. By no means a walk in the park! Our choices of deep network and input shape representation were motivated by the fact that the target property we wish to predict, i.e., the animation skeleton, predominantly lies in the interior of the shape.
